John Power and co. return with an album that has the same energy and optimism that propelled their debut, All Change, nearly three decades ago. Britpop may be described by some as a passing marketing fad but there is still a place for carefully crafted upbeat songs that are quintessentially British. Certainly this album has a big ‘arm-waving at a festival’ feel.

The album features a series of anthemic indie pop guitar-driven songs. Whilst not groundbreaking, they sit well with the classic singles back in their heyday. The energetic rhythms and singalong harmonies are recognisably Cast, although the one change is that John recorded the bass parts on the album – a throwback to his time as the bass player in The La’s.
