A refreshing cool jazz intro cleanses the palette preparing you for a sweet wobbly main course of synth-infused space funk from Apifera; vibrant, positive and kind of ‘out there’, with hints of exotica woven into a conscious hip-hop sensibility.

It’s hard to believe this is a debut album and that it was recorded live over a three day period, such is the accomplishment in complex orchestration. However, when you consider the musical pedigree as long-time members of the Israeli jazz and rap label Raw Tapes roster, you can begin to understand the expertise brought together here with influences from Ravel, Satie, Ghana and Sudan, it all combines into a lush set of tunes that never overstay, now you understand.
