The Gathering Sounds has confirmed a substantial second wave of artists for its 2026 festival, with Sunderland’s Tom A. Smith announced as headliner for the Georgian Theatre. The multi‑venue event returns to Stockton‑on‑Tees on Saturday 26th September, continuing its focus on emerging talent from across the UK. The latest additions include Glasgow post‑punk group Humour, Leeds alternative outfit Bloodworm, Manchester duo Fletchr Fletchr, garage‑rock band Pyncher, Pack of Animals, The Kowloons, Andrew Johnson & The Others, Central Arcade, Honeylight, Park View, Strop and Weathership.

These acts join the previously announced first wave featuring overpass, Basht., TTSSFU, Good Health Good Wealth, M60, Shelf Lives, Charlie Floyd, Swindled and Daisy Brown. The festival will once again take place across KU, ARC, The Georgian Theatre, The Link, The Social Room and The Green, with stages curated in collaboration with national promoters including This Feeling.
