The County Durham comic brings her award-winning show, Delulu, to Newcastle on Ssturday 23rd May
Elaine Robertson brings Delulu to Tyne Theatre & Opera House on Saturday 23rd May, diving into the gloriously unhinged world of her own “delulu” spirals — the kind that convince you you’ve spotted Bootsy Collins on a kid’s bike in Gateshead. Directed by Lee Kyle, her award‑winning Edinburgh hit charts a surreal, sharply funny journey from pandemic care‑home shifts to pub‑gig princess impersonator, landing somewhere between chaotic confession and unexpectedly moving stand‑up.
County Durham comic Elaine Robertson has fast become one of the region’s sharpest rising voices, winning the ISH Comedy Awards Panel Prize, reaching the final of Channel 4’s Sean Lock Comedian of the Year, and earning critical acclaim for her debut Fringe hour. She’s also a singer, artist and workshop facilitator — and, more recently, the mind behind a series of gloriously unhinged viral PowerPoints on birds, oxbow lakes and coastal groynes.
