April would have been a month packed with excellent gigs, theatre and comedy shows – many of which we’d have previewed and reviewed. We didn’t want to ignore the contribution these artists (and promoters) make to the region, so we asked some of them to give you a few tips on how you can spend your time in isolation.

Lo-fi psych pop duo The Lovely Eggs’ gig at The Cluny has been rescheduled to Thursday 16th July, you can buy the band’s brand new album I Am Moron from 3rd April. Here, Holly Ross offers her list of things keeping them sane during quarantine.

Where’s Wally Jigsaw. Infuriating at the best of times. In jigsaw form it takes it to a whole new level. We recently did this jigsaw on holiday. It took us over four days and we became obsessed with it. In the end it had four fucking pieces missing. Can you BELIEVE it! Tell you fucking what though? It passes the time!

Read. I am a massive bookworm. The good thing about a book is that it can completely take you out of your current situation. It can be like a really good dream and I think that’s what we all need right now.

Music. Of course. The obvious. Every period of isolation needs a soundtrack.

Films and good telly. Sometimes you just need to whack the telly on, crack open a beer and pretend this isn’t happening. It isn’t, is it??

Build something out of random objects. David’s favourite pastime!!
