Teesside heroes Young Rebel Set have a special festive treat in store for fans – a homecoming Christmas gig at Middlesbrough Town Hall on Monday 22nd December.

The lads released second smash album, Crocodile, in October 2013, which was recorded in Glasgow with the help of former Delgado’s drummer Paul Savage and they’ve been in high demand in Europe too, as come December they’ll have just returned from an 11-date arena tour in Germany.

Their UK and overseas success can be accounted to their readiness to develop their sound – a couple of the tracks on their atmospheric second album are a million miles from the style of their first. And while being a member down from their debut, Curse Our Love, the five-piece show no signs of slowing down.

Their last Christmas show was a sold-out gig in the Town Hall’s Crypt and this time they’ve rightly graduated upstairs to the main auditorium. No small honour – the stage has been headlined by Paul Weller, Oasis, Blur and the Kinks, and by all accounts, they’re the first original Teesside band to do so.
