Ashington Local Football Club is set to host some amazing bands and artists, as the community is brought together for Woodhorn Lane Music Festival, to celebrate the opening of the new stand at Woodhorn Lane. There’s a marquee, two stages, food, drink and a real memorable weekend ahead from Friday 22nd until Sunday 24th July.

Friday sees a mix of punk, soul and rock, though it all starts with brass soul from DENNIS on Friday 22nd, then there’s punk poetry from Ettrick Scott and Jazz Riot , then local rock legends HED and the reputedly best AC/DC tribute band in the country, Hells Bells.

Aussie soul band Plan B stop by on Saturday 23rd, then new wave rock from The Middens and the brilliantly unique The Great And The Magnificent returning after a raucously entertaining performance last year. Acclaimed funk and soul favourites Smoove And Turrell bring the whole day to a close.

The whole festival ends on a high on Sunday 24th with more soul, though with a folksy vibe too from Mojo Hang, Gilded Thieves and Nick Pride And The Pimptones swooning the weekend away.

Woodhorn Lane Music Festival takes place from Friday 22nd until Sunday 24th July at Woodhorn Lane, Ashington.
