The rather lovely Womenfolk tour heads back to Stockton’s ARC on Friday 6th February, welcoming three critically acclaimed folk stars.

Kathryn Williams will be no stranger to NARC. readers; the adopted Geordie songstress is a prolific talent, possessed of stunning songwriting capabilities and a beautiful, original voice. Currently putting the finishing touches to a new album, we’re always excited to see what avenue Kathryn will take next. Her live performances can be atmospheric, understated and utterly captivating.

Kathryn’s joined by a couple of folk newcomers who’ve wasted no time in gaining plaudits of their own. Maz O’Connor’s traditional and self-penned originals combine lush melodies and riveting vocals; while 2013 Welsh Music Prize winner Georgia Ruth has been described as “one of British folk’s discoveries of the year” by the Guardian, the harpist and singer has also been nominated for two 2014 BB Folk Awards.
