Like beer and can’t wait until summer to enjoy a good beer festival? Then (beer) fear not as Gosforth Civic Theatre is holding its very first Winter Beer Festival on Friday 21st – Sunday 23rd February. Their annual August event attracts over 2,000 visitors and organisers are expecting a similar turnout, as ale drinkers head down to the charity run venue to have their cockles warmed by the delights that are on offer.

The event has over 20 craft beers on cask and keg from the likes of Allendale, Almasty, Cloudwater, Moor, Northern Alchemy, Outthere and Two by Two, all soundtracked by a packed bill of musical talent and featuring mouth-watering street food for meat lovers, veggies and vegans.

Providing the grub are street food vendors, including Goodtimes Tacos, Shanty Town, Cheese Sir!, Cocina Peru, Memories of the Black Forest and Meat Salt Smoke, and dishing out the sounds are world music legends Baghdaddies, bluegrass kings Kentucky Cowtippers, singer-songwriter Eve Simpson and blues-rockers Hambone.

The Saturday and Sunday afternoons serving up something for the whole family with, Bubbleologist Jesse Ward wowing the young ‘uns on the Saturday and retro gaming from GCT Gaming on Sunday.

Gosforth Beer Festival runs from 4pm on Friday 21st February to 8pm on Sunday 23rd February at Gosforth Civic Theatre. Entry is free.
