“6Music Festival? What’s one of those? Pardon? Yeah, bit deaf – went to see that We Are Knuckle Dragger last night…”

Just think: that could be you, lucky reader, should you make the smart choice to go and see We Are Knuckle Dragger play at Think Tank this Friday. Sure, there might be a slight ringing in the ears, a certain pain in the head, and the voices of your friends and loved ones might fade into the background for a while. But isn’t that a small price to pay in the end?

If the knowing, tongue-in-cheek name isn’t tip off enough, We Are Knuckle Dragger specialise in raw and intense metal that slips between moments of technical wizardry and straight-up attack whilst retaining a rare self-awareness.

Since they first formed in 2008, the Newcastle trio have made a name for themselves nationally and even internationally: their debut album Tit for Tat was engineered by the legendary Steve Alibini, while last year’s The Drone was produced by Ross Robinson, famous for his work with At the Drive-In, Sepultura, The Cure and many more.

For five of those pounds in your pocket then, you get to see some home-grown rock royalty tear up the stage (alongside support from The 78 and Hypochrist)… even if it might take you a while to tell people about it afterwards.
