After the roaring success of the audio-visual spectacular that was Razmataz Lorry Excitement’s album launch in July, in November we’ll be back at Northern Stage for another very special gig, this time with the help of Pennine-spanning power duo Warm Digits. Andrew Hodson and Steve Jefferis are helping us curate their own unique event, where they’ll be headlining with their kaleidoscopic mix of krautrock, disco, guitar fuzz and free jazz. They’re currently edging towards releasing a much anticipated third album and this show will be a singular chance to sample some of what the LP will have to offer.

Warm Digits’ live shows are already celebrated for being full-on but for this event they’ll be welcoming a third member to the stage to give their show even more oomph. Filmbee – made up of Mat Fleming, Deborah Bower and more – will be performing a special film and light show in collaboration with the band. They’ll be using 16mm projectors, slide projectors and other live visual effects to create a stunning display accompanying Warm Digits’ sonic extremes that’ll blow your minds and retinas (in a good way).

In the coming weeks we’ll be announcing the support for the night and more, with the band supporting the programming of this celebration of sonic and electronic experimenters.

Warm Digits with visual support from Filmbee comes to Northern Stage, Newcastle on Friday 13th November. Tickets are on sale now.
