Looking for something a little bit different to do with your Valentine’s Day this year? Newcastle Castle is offering up just that, as it serves up food, drinks, a film and a candlelit tour around the Castle itself.

The jewel in the crown is certainly the late night, candlelit tour of the Castle Keep, finishing up with some of the finest views of the city from the roof of The Castle. Before that, there’s a screening of Shakespeare In Love, with the classic film’s joyously talented ensemble cast an ideal choice for a romantic watch.

There’s food from Ugly Duckling too; the a grassroots community interest company uses positive, creative approaches to reduce food waste and drive behaviour change, and already left a big impression with their Christmas Fair at Newcastle Castle.

There are going to be few experiences as unique as this to share with your partner, and tickets can be bought here.

Valentine’s Day at Newcastle Castle takes place on Wednesday 14th February.
