The sixth edition of TUSK Festival is set for Friday 14th until Sunday 16th October at Sage Gateshead, and with a handful of genre-defying, experiment international musicians already announced, the diverse three-day program has just announced another litany of wonderful artists for the very special festival.

The new partnership with Sage Gateshead is set to be something very fruitful for both parties, the banks of the River Tyne the perfect home for a menu of eclectic international music alongside TUSK’s trademark slew of UK debuts plus its renowned film programme, exhibitions, talks, installations, interactions, workshops and more.

The new live acts announced are Jaw-dropping duo Senyawa, who combine the folklore traditions of Indonesia with a bewitching avent-garde approach; Hen Ogledd, the duo made up of alt-folk talent Richard Dawson and everyone’s favourite harp experimenter, Rhodri Davies; Rubber O Cement all the way from the bewildering back lands of the US Underground and Mexico’s Skull Mask, emitting stream-of- consciousness compositions via steel-strung acoustic guitar.

There’s also political samples and compositions filled with knowing sarcasm from Mark Gergis’ Porest; German techno institution Wolfgan Voigt; Ashtray Navigations‘ psych guitar and sublime electronics and the pained and delicate Soldier Garage.

These join the already announced Japanese chamber pop of Eiko Ishibashi; Los Angeles techno producer Juan Mendez aka Silent Servant; Fovea Hex, fronted by Irish cult folk singer Clodagh Symonds; unhinged and uninhibited Leeds duo Guttersnip; outsider rock from Eddy Detroit and Latin psychedelia Los Siquicos Litoralenos. It all makes for a truly unique experience, and with the early bird tickets already snapped up, and more announcements to come, October is shaping up to be a very exciting month.

TUSK Festival takes place at Sage Gateshead Friday 14th until Sunday 16th October.
