Telling the unique story of the 33 Chilean miners who were stranded, alone and scared miles underground for 69 days in 2010 comes Trapped, a truly original dance and physical theatre show. The unique take on this captivating story arrives at St Hilda’s Pit Head in South Shields Thursday 13th to Saturday 15th September.

The show was created by Experiential Dance Company’s Artistic Director, Rachel Johnson and is performed by an exceptionally talented cast of Joseph Delaney, Luke Rigg, and Alex Rowland. The story of the rescue operation which had millions of people watching on TV is one that seems like only yesterday, and is brought to life here in an utterly thought-provoking way.

Having been performed in some very special, creative spaces all over the UK, this historic building is the ideal home for a story that still resonates. The performance at St Hilda’s will feature live music by composer/singer Hayley Youell and filmed footage created by Rachel Johnson.

Trapped is at St Hilda’s Pit Head in South Shields from Thursday 13th to Saturday 15th September.
