A new collaborative exhibition from Polish artists Konrad Smoleński and Honza Zamojski is set to come to NewBridge Project Space, Newcastle, as multimedia installation and performance piece Transparent runs there from Saturday 28th May until Saturday 9th July.

The project has evolved from an initial concept, which sought to explore models of art education that differ from those in the UK: specifically looking at the pedagogical practices of Polish professor, Leszek Knaflewski and his relationship with former students Konrad Smoleński and Honza Zamojski. With Leszek Knaflewski’s untimely passing in 2014, the initial concept could not be fully realised, and has now developed into this new project. Taking risks, the duo utilise their individual artistic languages to create a fusion; two different set-ups of relations – one based on exchange and order, the other on chaos.

Transparent features configurations of objects and humans, humans and architecture and exhibits, institutions and individuals. It all forms a fascinating snapshot, within a carefully structured environment, seeking to understand and explore a great deal.

Transparent is at NewBridge Project Space, Newcastle from Saturday 28th May until Saturday 9th July.
