Brand new music collective Tracks is about to have a launch party for their ambitious and exciting times ahead, with the Darlington based group seeking to develop activities and services to benefit musicians, music organisations and audiences in and around the Darlington area. Their launch show is a perfect way to get to know them, with the awesome Voodoo Cafe hosting a live gig on Saturday 15th October.
Made up of musician and promoter David Saunders, producer and designer Rob Irish and fellow musician and promoter Sarah Wilson, the talented trio put Tracks into formation to fill the gaps they felt were lacking in the local music scene. Seeking to give Darlington exciting, original gigs, support networks and a core scene that allows local bands to thrive.
Darlington’s finest indie rockers The Circus Villains are launching their brand new single Party Fodder while
Stockton’s posty-punky blues merchants Cellar Door and one-man melodic soundscaper Chris Davison (fromAstoma) make for a line-up to remember on the opening show. There’s even some mighty fine ale from local brewery Rocket Town Brewing Co. to be sipped upon arrival.
With Tracks setting out their stall as they mean to go on, and making sure audiences and musicians alike have a bright future ahead, we highly recommend sampling what they’re all about at this pay what you decide launch show. Live music will always be where it’s at, and Darlington is about to make sure it’s forever a huge part of that, as Tracks will not let up until it is.
