Jack Bennett’s forthcoming one-man stand up show, Too Much Too Young, comes to Newcastle’s Northern Stage on Tuesday 10th and Wednesday 11th February. Central to Bennett’s show is a question about education; namely, why do we ask teenagers, with their seething mass of hormones and desire for twelve hours of sleep a night, to make incredibly important life-changing decisions? It’s a question that I’m sure resonates strongly with a lot of Generation Y kids, as well as the current Gen Z’s parents. Teenagers are designed to eat a lot, listen to loud music and test the boundaries. Is this really the right time to decide what you want to do for the rest of your life?

Bennett’s show explains his education experiences and looks set to make you question yours. He promises a night of relaxed chats – some silly, some serious – and hopefully some acute observational comedy. Prepare to have your thinking challenged, get involved in the debate and even come up with an education system of your own.

Too Much Too Young is at Northern Stage on Tuesday 10th and Wednesday 11th February.
