Reliably informed

You might have heard of Tim Key. You may even recognise him in a crowd as someone you could have sworn you’d seen somewhere. Chances are, however, that you have no real idea of who this guy is, which in itself is a travesty. Tim Key has popped up in so many incredible comedy, stage and TV shows that he really should be a household name, with credits including Peep Show, The Detectorists, Inside No.9, and Plebs.

From playing the indispensable role of Sidekick Simon alongside Steve Coogan’s Alan Partridge, to providing comic poetry for shows such as Mark Watson Makes The World Substantially Better to Charlie Brooker’s Screenwipe, Tim Key is a brilliant on screen and invaluable behind the scenes comedian. Now, he brings his self-proclaimed “first new show for ages” to Newcastle’s Northern Stage on Tuesday 12th June as part of his Megadate UK tour.

Attendees can expect stand-up involving jokes and observational comedy, as well as original poetry, storytelling and maybe even performance art.
