Reliably informed

Glaswegian rockers Tijuana Bibles haven’t looked back since releasing their debut EP in 2013. While their early releases may have gained the Scottish four piece promising attention, it was their live performance that’s made them really memorable. Good news for North East fans then, as the band play Independent, Sunderland on Saturday 14th March.

A typical gig will see the band rocket through their set at double speed, as front man Tony Costello thrashes around on stage, launching off equipment while occasionally finding a spare moment to belt out a lyric. Their brand of hard-hitting blues-infused rock will see you cry out for a backs-to-the-wall, stripped back revival.

The Nankeens, a four-piece epic indie group from Salford, will be supporting on the night with their brand of Courteeners-inspired jangly tunes.
