South-Eastern trio Thought Forms are set to shake the very foundations of Sound It Out records with an instore performance this week. The group, who first met almost a decade ago, have racked up an impressive gig history, including support slots with the like of Portishead and Kaiser Chiefs, and appearences at festivals such as ATP and Green Man.

The band’s sound morphs and veers; unsettling doom suddenly turns to gritty garage rock, which grows into reverb-laden psychedelia. All of this paired with entrancing vocals can make the group almost unnerving to listen to; you never know when you’re going to be hit with a devastating sonic assault. Watch any live performance from the trio and you’ll be amazed at how such a small band can make so much mind-melting noise. Containing said live performance in a such a small venue can only go one way: amazingly. With free entry, you have no excuse to miss this behemoth of a band.

Thought Forms play Sound It Out Records in Stockton on Thursday 26th February.
