Reliably informed

Set for a return to Gateshead, inventive, unique and utterly fascinating musician Thomas Truax heads to Prohibition Bar on Sunday 16th October, in a gig you won’t want to miss.

With an array of instruments made from all manner of objects, there’s really no one quite like Truax. Whether it’s spindly drum machines are built from broken bicycle wheels, the sci-fi jet-pack Backbeater pounding out rich rhythms, or the microphone-cum-everything-you-might-need Hornicator fashioned from an old gramophone player, everything at Truax’s disposal suits this truly original musician. The songs are phenomenal too, a musical raconteur with a straightforward charm, backdropped by the perfect venue for him, Prohibition Bar could be set to host one of its most spectacular nights yet.

Thomas Truax plays Prohibition Bar, Gateshead on Sunday 16th October.
