Alternative rockers Therapy? have shown they have a lot of staying power, and a consistent gift for writing excellent songs. Having been formed in 1989 and rising to prominence in the 1990s, now on their 14th studio album, and surviving two decades in the music business; it’s incredible that they still have the hunger to produce the output they have and to tour it. Tour it they will; taking in a date at Northumbria University on Saturday 27th February.

They’ve not lost their love for a good riff as last year’s album Disquiet showed, utilising them in new songs that showcase more of a darker, tortured edge evident on earlier albums. The Northern Irish trio will play plenty of songs from a sumptuous back catalogue too, as fans clamber for tracks that originally drew them to their twisted metal-influenced noise.  A sound that carries over live perfectly after years honing it, it’s a chance to see some master craftsmen at work, letting rip in a way that only they can.

Therapy? play Northumbria University on Saturday 27th February.
