To celebrate the release of new single Mythomania, local indie rockers Them Things are putting on a superstition-themed party at Tynemouth’s Surf Café, rather appropriately on Friday 13th November. As well as the chance to hear the new single, everyone attending the gig will receive a unique illustrated A6 ‘zine booklet containing a download code for Mythomania and a badge exclusive to this event.

That’s not all though, the lovely lads are bringing alt. rockers Sun Dance along as support. After you’ve got over the excitement of your free gifts and Sun Dance have pleasured your ears, Them Things will take to the stage, playing loads of new songs in addition to a couple of older ones from their first record Good Weird.

As for the new single itself, Mythomania is the latest thundering riff rock banger from the multi-genre band. Marked as a departure from the dreamy pop of the self-released Good Weird, which had a much softer approach, the new single (and video) sees the band kicking on into new territory and bringing it all for an evening’s fun in Tynemouth.

With plenty of strange goth/surf vibes to be enjoyed, alongside an evening in the company of two wonderful bands, we’d advise you to grab your tickets fast!
