Reliably informed

What happens if you mix together elements of Funkadelic and Aphrodite’s Child with Krautrock and long and languid fuzzy jams? You get the space rock of the future, brought to you by Liverpool five-piece The Vryll Society. After locking themselves away in a rehearsal studio for more than a year, they’re now finally airing the fruits of their labour at the ever-popular Mixtape night at The Keys in Middlesbrough.

Aiming to stimulate both body and mind (in a way that only spaced-out psychedelic rock can), The Vryll Society will be bringing a rich ocean of noise to the venue. Joining them on the night are Abel Raise the Cain. The septet are one of Teesside’s foremost purveyors of epic indie-rock, with a good smattering of orchestral maneuvers to separate them from the crowd.

The Vryll Society and Abel Raise the Cain play at The Keys, Middlesbrough on Tuesday 24th February.
