Music fans in Hartlepool will be pleased to hear of the re-launch of a much-loved venue this month, as The Studio reopen their doors on the Easter weekend. One of the area’s foremost music venues, The Studio has been given a new lease of life thanks to the hard work of community supporters and new partners. A dedicated committee has been set up by volunteers to bring live music and performance to the venue, and they’re starting as they mean to go on with a superb Resurrection Weekend line-up featuring hotly tipped Hartlepool band Para Alta, alt. popsters Lisbon and punk-house duo Pony & Trap (Friday 3rd April); later in the month legendary local act White Negroes will bring their explosive rock, reggae and R&B sound to the venue (Sunday 5th April).

Other notable line-ups throughout the month include Hartlepool/Newcastle alt. popsters Antlez (Saturday 11th); Sheffield-based indie rockers The Sherlocks (Friday 17th); and fascinating pop duo Winspear & William (Saturday 25th April).

The Studio is located on Tower Street, Hartlepool.
