Local band The Silence have already achieved a lot in their fledgling career, including undertaking a UK tour of schools, festivals appearances in Spain and receiving MTV video airplay in the States. Having released some cracking singles such as Barriers, The Fire, Again and Liberty, the Spennymoor four-piece recently released their debut EP, This Wilderness.

The band have been honing their songwriting craft over the last couple of years, smoothing off some of the rougher edges of their old school rock n roll sound and are sure to appeal to fans of Paramore. What’s more, in singer Livvy they have a certain star who ticks every box with her endless stage presence, great voice and sex appeal to boot. The band are now set to play one of their most important local dates so far at the Cluny on 26th February and a cracking bill also sees support coming from Shortside Avenue, One Man Revival and The Creep Void.  The Silence are sure to be making a whole lot of noise in the near future so get along to the Cluny to catch a band that are surely on the brink of stardom whilst they’re still relatively quiet.

The Silence play at The Cluny, Newcastle on Thursday 26th February.
