Lyrically astute one-man band The Shooting Of, aka Paul Jeans, heads out on a mini-tour of intimate venues this month, offering a prime opportunity to witness the multi-instrumentalist’s sublime live show. The Shooting Of released his compelling single The Sky Is Full of Lights back in December, which offered a warm synth sound with relentless drum beats and an ethereal tone. With debut album Analogue Heart due for release in March, fans are eagerly awaiting more material.

It’s in the live arena that The Shooting Of shines particularly brightly, and an array of intimate local venues provides a uniquely exposed aesthetic for Jeans’ quirky sound. Kicking off at Tynemouth’s wonderful Surf Café on Saturday 6th, the tour also visits The Waiting Room in Eaglescliffe on Sunday 7th, Barrels Ale House in Berwick on Saturday 13th and Hole In The Wall, Darlington on Sunday 14th February. Tour support is provided by folk songwriter Trev Gibb, who’s also been in the spotlight over the last few months thanks to his intense songs and stunning voice. Gibb’s sharp songwriting is the perfect pairing for The Shooting Of’s experimental pop noir, so these gigs come highly recommended.

The Shooting Of and Trev Gibb play Tynemouth Surf Café on Saturday 6th, The Waiting Room, Eaglescliffe on Sunday 7th, Barrels Ale House in Berwick on Saturday 13th and Hole In The Wall, Darlington on Sunday 14th February.
