Anyone who witnessed The Rainbow Girls’ spellbinding performance at the SummerTyne Festival back in 2013, will know just what an eclectic act the Northern California five-piece are. Equally at home performing funk, soul and rock ‘n’ roll as they are with folk, Americana and gypsy, the multi-instrumentalists are sure to blow as many minds at the Live Theatre as they did back at their debut North-East show on the banks of the Tyne.

Having released their sophomore record, Perceptronium, this summer, they’ll also be treating audiences on their expansive UK tour to choice cuts from their debut – 2013’s The Sound Of Light – as well as their own unique takes on a few surprise covers. They’ve come a long way since forming at an underground mic show in Santa Barbara five years ago and have evolved from an acoustic band of buskers into an unmissable live experience, so don’t miss out whilst they’re still a relatively well-kept secret.

The Rainbow Girls play at the Live Theatre, Newcastle on Friday 25th September.
