A series of screenings illuminating a distinctly northern perspective on the history of film in Northern England
Spotlighting moving image in the North of England, The Problem of Perspective is set to screen at Newcastle’s Side Cinema on Friday 9th December.
Organised by Pavilion, The Problem of Perspective is a series of screenings illuminating a distinctly northern perspective on the history of film in Northern England. What shows is a project which explores strategies deployed by artists and filmmakers in the North East in the 60s, 70s and 80s. From documentaries to works made in direct response to prevailing socio-political conditions, the screening features work by Philip Trevelyan, Stuart Marshall and Neil Bartlett, Amber, Brian Hoey and Wendy Brown, Ian Breakwell, Richard Grayson, Leeds Animation Workshop, John Adams and Inter-Action.
