Reliably informed

If instigating a mass outbreak of toe tapping were a crime, The Old Pink House would be the undeniable culprits. A four piece birthed from a bedroom recording project crafted by frontman Christopher Brown, their sudden (and well deserved) success has saw them rapidly transform into one of the region’s most beloved and exciting new bands.

Recently released single Take It Out On Me displays their combination of modern psychedelia and feel good pop musings, delivered with addictive rhythm and twinkling synths, whilst fan favourite So Cruel boasts an irresistible infectiousness that will loop around your brain holes at ungodly hours of the day whilst you attempt to slumber – but we’re not complaining.

Following their rip-roaring set at this year’s Evolution Emerging festival, The Old Pink House are on a flaming incline. Having already ticked off support slots for the likes of The Amazons, The Sherlocks and The Pale White, they’re currently on a UK tour of their own, with a stop off in the motherland on Friday 21st July, when the outfit headline Newcastle’s Jumpin’ Jacks alongside Ronald Raygun and FEVA. If a knees up with the most loveable bunch the northeast has to offer appeals (and a chance to catch them before they set sail upon the Ship of Superstardom), make sure to grab yourself a ticket to witness the psych-poppers in action.

The Old Pink House play Jumpin’ Jacks, Newcastle on Friday 21st July.
