Soulful four-piece The Milk are gearing up to bring their wonderful, rootsy ruckus to Independent in Sunderland on Sunday 15th November.

After a successful 2012 debut album release, they were cannon-balled onto mainstream radio, a hefty pack of fans following shortly behind. However the band had a slight issue: they didn’t feel as though their music was communicating their original vision as a band.

After a delve into their inspirations that initiated their formation, and a playlist that consisted of the likes of Bill Withers, Isaac Hayes and The Isley Brothers playing on repeat throughout their songwriting process, The Milk had a musical eureka. Their adoration of 70’s soul and RnB has largely influenced their second album, Favourite Worry, and first single No Interruptions is already receiving rapturous appreciation. Their live show is bound to be an energetic explosion of groove, soul and undeniable love for what they have achieved.
