There’s always a sense of excitement and intrigue whenever Quentin Tarantino releases a new film. A master of his craft, but always willing to wear his influences firmly on his cinematic sleeve, you’re guaranteed a unique experience; and usually a film that will be lavished with praise and revered as one of the year’s best. His newest film, The Hateful Eight, comes to The Tyneside Cinema from Friday 8th January.

A blood-soaked, Wild West adventure is what’s on offer, with slick, quirky dialogue thrusting the bold narrative forward, this is sure to be Tarantino on form again. With a wealth of Tarantino regulars making up the cast (Michael Madsen, Tim Roth, Samuel L Jackson) and some faces that are just making it into the Tarantino canon (Jennifer Jason Leigh, Bruce Dern), there’s also a welcome return for Kurt Russell, after a mesmerising role in Tarantino’s Death Proof. The phenomenal cast fill roles as eight strangers, who must weather a storm together in a cramped wagon stop. Though they may not all be quite what they seem.

If that wasn’t enough, there’s also a Screenage Kicks event for the 7pm showing (now sold out but contact Tyneside Cinema box office for waiting list places), featuring the screening of this film, live DJs, Tarantino themed fancy dress and pre and post screening parties.

The Hateful Eight starts screening at The Tyneside Cinema from Friday 8th January.
