Get set for a frightful night of cult horror movies, copious amounts of caffeine and body clock destruction as The Great Tyneside Cinema Cult Classic All-Nighter comes to Tyneside Cinema in Newcastle on Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th of October. 

Our Halloween programme this year has four screen themes: Horror Icons, female directors, VHS screenings in our Gallery, and a special programme from London based cult film specialists Cigarette Burns Cinema. With highlights including horror classics Halloween, Friday the 13th, The Babadook and Scream, plus restorations of horror classics Suspiria and Hellraiser.

There’s a Spooktacular Halloween Party in Tyneside Bar Cafe on the Saturday too, featuring ghoulish live music from Deadly Nightshade And The Skeletones and prizes for the best horror-themed fancy dress.

Films on show from the Fear the Boogyman selection are Halloween, IT (2017), Hellraiser and Friday 13th, for Female Trouble, the best of iconic chillers from female directors are The Babadook, The Slumber Party Massacre, American Psycho and Pet Sematary.

There’s the Cigarette Burns Jukebox bringing Suspiria, Re-Animator, The Evil Within and Tourist Trap. With horrors plays from original VHS tapes including Blood & Black Lace, Scream, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and The House Of The Devil.

Screenings run throughout the night all the way through to the early hours, and gives you a couple of days to catch up on sleep before your Halloween night itself.

The Great Tyneside Cinema Cult Classic All-Nighter is at Tyneside Cinema, Newcastle on Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th October.
