A new dark comedy is set for a tour around some of the region’s best theatre venues, as the Cloud 9 Theatre produced The End Of The Pier takes off around the North East from Monday 20th until Saturday 25th June.

Award-winning Washington playwright Neil Armstrong has penned the comedy thriller set in an Edwardian theatre, with the plot revolving around a married couple and double-act, who have intentions to kill each other. Taking in Memorial Hall in Wallsend on Monday 20th June, The Exchange in North Shields on Tuesday 21st June, Hartlepool Town Hall on Wednesday 22nd June, while Thursday 23rd June takes them to Arts Centre Washington, and Friday 24th and Saturday 25th June brings it all gloriously to a close at Gala Theatre in Durham. Audiences are given lots of opportunities to take in a world of suspicion, revenge and murder, with a trip back in time to see just whether the end of the pier is a significant ending for one of this music hall double-act.

The End Of The Pier is at various North East venues from Monday 20th until Saturday 25th June.
