Reliably informed

This Thursday 7th April sees one of the most well-rounded, eclectic bills of comedy take to the stage at The Chillingham before The Chuckling Monk Comedy Club takes a short break for refurbishments to the venue. They’ve build up quite the reputation already for pulling together some of the best acts on the circuit and the funniest up-and-comers too; in what have been some spectacular evenings of stand-up comedy fun.

This month sees regular host Cal Halbert break out his spot-on comedy impressions and sharp wit to set the gig up in the best way possible for the acts on show. It’s all headlined by political comic John Scott, who continues to impress as a performer with intelligent writing and beautifully crafted material, all presented with perfect timing, hilarious jokes and a presence that wont be ignored, he’ll be sure to have the audience in stitches.

They’re joined by Nick Cranston, a fantastic act with some of the best gags around, Sean Turner’s surreal and silly brilliance, the engaging wit and charm of Si Beckwith and Joby Mageean, a performer who has been taking gigs by storm of late and is sure to do the same here.

The Chuckling Monk Comedy Club is at The Chillingham, Newcastle on Thursday 7th April.
