The first instalment of Stockton venue The Green Room’s pay what you decide shows has gone for some of the most unique music it could have, really setting out a blue print for something truly fascinating musically, and it all starts on Saturday 9th July.

The Black Sheep Frederick Dickens, are a perfect choice for the inaugural show; fronted by fellow local favourites Goy Boy McIlroy’s David Saunders, his captivating performances are backdropped by superb musicality from Rob Irish, and what follows is a collection of gothic ballads, filled with drama and a quirky edge that few others can match. Keys, bass and samples are accompanied by a theatrical performance from one of the North East’s best frontmen (and better than most beyond too). Supported by The Secret of the Whipt, the five piece constructed of various Teesside based artists, traditional English-Eastern European folk with an industrial tinge, will add something else very special to shows which should leave a huge lasting impression.

The Black Sheep Frederick Dickens and The Secret of the Whipt play The Green Room, Stockton on Saturday 9th July.
