True music legends are on their way to North Shields on Friday 29th July, as The Animals And Friends play their big hits and more at The Exchange.

Tickets are expected to sell out fast, with only a limited number available, and that’s understandable given the acclaim and loyal following the band built up of their decades in the business. Their jangly pop always had a bit more of a rock and roll edge than a lot of their contemporaries, and their roots in Tyneside should make this a special homecoming for original member John Steel, and fellow founder Mick Gallagher will also keep the band authentic. They’re both joined by Danny Handley (performed with Spencer Davis, Bobby Elliott, Ric Lee of Ten Years After) and Roberto Ruiz, and with hits like We Got To Get Out Of This Place and House Of The Rising Sun all time classic songs, North Shields is hosting a quite magnificent evening of music in the company of musical greats.
