Endless Window Session 17 is primed to be an evening of adrenaline and admiration for the eclectic depth of Newcastle’s music scene. Native to the Endless Window ethos is the quality and peculiarity of the bill, and Ten Sticks, Cheap Lunch and Baker Island may never be on the same line-up again so keep Friday 18th November open.
Ten Sticks are a hardworking Newcastle duo featuring former members of Grandfather Birds, who create rich and kinetic soundscapes. Every performance is unique to the night, and they operate on a structure and release philosophy that is both delicious and cathartic.
Cheap Lunch’s self-proclaimed ‘low down and dirty doom punk’ is a radical ‘fuck you’ to the norm. Expect raucous behaviour and freaky punk at its best from the Newcastle based trio. While Baker Island bring powerfully driven indie fuzz and lo-fi pop weirdness to The Cumberland Arms.
Dance yourself sane to EW’s trademark DJ set, and be satisfied you spent your Friday night in a pretty damn near perfect way.
