For those who miss comics not being in film form, Teesside University is opening its doors and inviting the general public to their second annual BA Comics and Graphic Novels Graduation Art Show.

The BA (Hons) Comics and Graphic Novels Programme at Teesside University is one of only a handful of comics-based academic courses in the world. The comics course has proven so popular that an MA in Comics and Graphic Novels will be offered at Teesside University in September, 2019.

The exhibition will feature comics, stories and art from their latest group of up-and-coming artists who have spent the past three years learning everything from the basics of narrative drawing to outputting finished artwork for print publication of graphic novels and/or on the internet as webcomics. The exhibition will feature stories ranging fantastical to the autobiographical with visually striking artwork bringing it to life.

If you’d like to check out the next Alan Moore, Posy Simmonds or Grant Morrison, then head to the second floor of the Athena Building, Room A2.03 from 13th to 17th May (9am-5pm).
