Newcastle’s favourite purveyors of punk influenced jazz chaos Taupe are looking for a bit of help in getting their second album off the ground, and they need you. A Kickstarter campaign has been launched, with the goal of raising £1,500 with helping towards manufacturing, artwork and mastering with money already raised for studio and recording costs.

After impressing at NARC Fest on the Cluny 2 stage, and having also wowed more than 450 people at Manchester Jazz Festival, the trio from Tyneside are setting up for a week of recordings at Loft Studios in September. They’ve manage to rope in Gateshead born-guitarist and experimental music legend Chris Sharkey to oversee the project, and with the campaign to raise funds ending on Sunday 28th August, now is the time to sneak in and aid this ambitious endeavour. With a variety of perks on offer, you really do get a nice bit of bang for your buck, and most importantly, you help get a potentially awesome album off the ground.

Taupe’s Kickstarter campaign is open now until Sunday 28th August.
