Up-and-coming Whitley Bay noiseniks Susan headline the Newcastle O2 Academy 2 on Friday 7th July following the successful release of their debut EP back in May.

A joyous three song blast of infectious punk-influenced indie that walks on the cool side of the street, this is the perfect opportunity to catch them on the second stage before they inevitably go on to bigger and better things. The chance to hear tracks such as Dream and You Keep On Waiting live is an opportunity not to be missed. They’re edgy and angular but full of pop hooks and hummable melodies.

Support on the night comes from Newcastle’s doom-pop trio No Teeth, themselves no stranger to the Academy, having they sold out their own headling show there back in October. Their recent single Blisters is a scuzzy, noise filled piece of aural dystopia that is deliciously dark and demands to be heard loud.

Also on the bill are fresh-faced quartet Mayfare, who’ve just returned from playing triumphant sets at Willowman Festival and Soundfest. And as if that wasn’t enough for your £4 door tax, there’s bluesy rock from the young ‘uns in Mac The Gunner.
