Since arriving in 2011, Street Party in Soho have been an integral part of the local music scene in the North East. Their brand of “Liquid Candy Shop Afro-Pop” (possibly the best descriptor of recent times) is furiously infectious and has earned them the hearts of fans in their hometown. After a very brief hiatus, the band are back and playing The Cluny 2 on Sunday 14th December.

The band gained exposure in 2012 when their debut single was featured on the hit reality show Made in Chelsea, as well as earning them the title of Single of the Week on XFM. Since then, they’ve played at numerous festivals and have recently supported King Charles on his UK tour in early 2014.

Support comes in the form of Humanism, who have just released their second LP Porcelain Soul. The pair are joined by Jake Fletcher and Caolifhionn Rose. With a wonderful line-up packed with local talent, The Cluny are showing their immense support for the local scene towards the end of the year.

Street Party in Soho will play The Cluny 2 on Sunday 14th December.
