Based in Newcastle and Sunderland, the quintet behind St. Buryan have quickly amassed a steady following in the region for their upbeat sound that draws from pop-punk and Strokes-esque indie rock in equal measure. Following the launch of their debut single Everything I Said earlier in the year, the band are now preparing their follow-up for release later this month.

Although the band formed back in 2013, a combination of band members being split geographically across the country for university and the band’s efforts to marry their disparate influences into one coherent sound let to the band taking a break in 2015. Now, they’re eager to make up for lost time and to push their new material to as many ears as possible.

To promote their latest release, they’re holding a headline show at Jumpin’ Jacks on Tuesday 27th June. Supporting them on the night are a trio of other young, upcoming bands – Sunderland band Alba Nights, the Leeds-based Peace Frog and the new indie-pop quartet Great Waves.
