North East DJ collective Montoya have been putting on their Spectrum nights at Newcastle bar-restaurant Ernest and the Old Police House for some time but now they’re bringing their extensive talents to Northern Stage for their first showcase at the venue. The all-female collective are now resident DJs at Northern Stage and to celebrate they’ll be bringing their first amazing collection of dancefloor-filling tunes to Stage 3 on Friday 13th March.

Montoya are made up of a host of separate DJs with a variety of different styles and musical tastes. Layla plays everything from jungle to 90s hip-hop, Mariam enjoys footwork and electro, Menisha specialises in private parties, Paulah is known for taking to the decks at Hoochie Coochie’s Pure Disco and Tel plays a tasty range of soul, funk, pop and rock. Basically, even if you only enjoy one genre of music, one of the ladies will have something in her collection to cater for you. Prepare to dance.

Spectrum takes place at Northern Stage, Newcastle on Friday 13th March.
