Sunderland six piece and indie-rock revivalists, Social Room have been making waves this past couple of years and are back with a brand new single and video. It’s Not Goodbye is an anthemic track complete with pounding rhythms, pulsating synth and big riffs that will no doubt be filling the fields of many a festival this summer.

Guitarist, Adam Potts offers more insight into the song and the video.

“We recorded the song in Newcastle at Blank Studios. We have had a lot more shows this year , We have been on tour with The Spitfires, played our first headline show outside the UK in Madrid and teamed up with This Feeling as one of their ‘Big in 2019’ tipped bands. So we have been on the road a lot and that’s what the song is about. Having to leave everyone to go away and play these gigs.

The video was shot on the cliff tops of Seaham and the rape fields on the coast road over the Easter bank holiday weekend, luckily we got the weather. We got accused of fly tipping while taking the sitting room into some farmers field and then eventually got thrown out the field by the farmer, but the video looks cool so it was all worth it.”

It’s Not Goodbye is available from from all digital platforms today. The band play KU Bar on Sat 11th May with support from Michael Gallagher, The Balcony and Cova Castle.
