Having already played three times in as many months in the region – supporting Rae Morris, Nick Mulvey and Bombay Bicycle Club – SiVu, aka singer-songwriter James Page, has announced he’ll be heading out on a massive UK headline tour in February and March next year. As part of the tour, Page will be making a stop at Gateshead’s Central Bar on the 21st March.

Aside from his stints supporting others on their tours, 2014 was a big year for SiVu as he released his critically acclaimed debut album Something On High. The LP, which features a range of intelligent and sensitively written songs about life’s trials and tribulations, is a sleeper classic in the making thanks to Page’s earnest lyrics and his combination of classic singer-songwriter acoustics and electronic flourishes. He’s also a joy live, with or without his band, as he initiates banter easily and performs beautiful renditions of his tracks.

SiVu will play at The Central in Gateshead on 21st March 2015. Tickets are available to buy now.
