Absolute genuises in the field of psychedelia and electronic music Silver Apples are out on tour, and the influential outfit are taking in two North East venues, with shows at The Westgarth in Stockton on Thursday 25th August and The Mining Institute in Newcastle on Saturday 27th August.

True musical pioneers in the field of analog enchantment, this is a unique chance to see founder Simeon Coxe evoke that vision, having formed in 1967, the wealth of experience will all shape it’s way into a wonderful show in the intimate setting of the Mining Institute’s Library, and then something a little different within the confines of The Westgarth too.

The Mining Institute gig has a special guest on the bill, as Nathalie Stern sculpts a haunting soundscape via use of loop pedals and lo-fi synth sounds, with her multi-tracked vocals at the forefront. There’ll be a free entry aftershow party at the Head Of Steam, for the Newcastle event, running until 3am, with DJs Disco Pogo For Punks In Pumps. Promoters Wandering Oak and Lost in the Woods have really excelled themselves bring you two very special nights ahead.

Silver Apples play The Westgarth in Stockton on Thursday 25th August and The Mining Institute in Newcastle on Saturday 27th August.
