DIY electronic post-punk collective Massa Confusa have collaborated with Gizeh Records to bring together an exciting line-up of up and coming electronic based music acts at Head of Steam on Friday 24th April.

Topping the bill are Manchester’s Shield Patterns, a hauntingly beautiful act whose simplicity only adds to their mystique. The duo relies on a fragile backdrop of infectious electronic rhythms to compliment Claire Brentnall’s striking vocals, creating an effect as hypnotic as it is chilling.

Also joining in on the night will be North East’s own Fractions (check out their track Breathe on our free compilation this month), a female fronted electronic five-piece playing synth pop with a dark edge, joined by Natasha Haws.

Propping up the night will be the live debut from Five Pence Game (the electronic side-project of Massa Confusa’s Ally Morton). Ally will be taking his two EPs worth of melodic tracks to the stage for the first time. Don’t miss it.
