The effortlessly funny Shappi Khorsandi is out on tour, with the tour currently drawing to a close, one of the final shows is at The Stand in Newcastle on Sunday 11th December. Celebrating the fortieth anniversary of her arrival in Britain, she’s reclaiming patriotism, and this show serves as something of a love letter to her adopted homeland.
A regular face on our TV screens, Khorsandi is immensely sharp, witty and has a mischievous delivery with an abundance of charm. Smart, beautifully written material is at the core of all she does, and that should make this show a real treat and a great watch. With a debut novel Nina Is Not Okay also out earlier this year, this has been a big 2016 for this talented comic, and it’s going to close with a worthy bang.
