Everyone loves a Bank Holiday weekend, and this coming one has more reason to find yourself out on a Sunday night than usual. The Cluny hosts a quite brilliant trio of bands (and a secret special guest) on Sunday 1st May in an evening that’ll make your Bank Holiday Monday morning lie in all the more worth it.

It really is a special line-up too, The Great Curve‘s twinkling guitars and passionate vocals are a unique taste of alt rock; the immensely gifted songwriters set the bar very high. Behold A Pale Horse are another brilliant choice, their psychedelic, garage rock keeps the dark, tortured undercurrent bubbling away. Rounding it all out are Seeing Hands, their pop sensibilities are much more evident, their jangling dream pop vibe makes for something a little bit different, providing a bill that has real light and shade, in a gig that’s free entry, and most importantly, features some of the region’s best songwriters showcasing what they do best.

Seeing Hands, Behold A Pale Horse and The Great Curve play The Cluny, Newcastle on Sunday 1st May.
